Rescue operations in flood-hit Gujarat

National Disaster Management Force actively rescued stranded villagers in flood-affected areas of Gujarat on Saturday. More than 3,000 families from villages in the flood-ravaged Junagadh, Porbander and Jamnagar districts have been shifted to safer places by the rescue teams, officials said. A National Disaster Management Authority team has been working round the clock in Veraval town, where several areas have been inundated following heavy flooding in Devka river.
