Rising sugarcane prices a good sign, says Sharad Pawar

At the annual general meeting of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research in New Delhi on Wednesday, India's Farm minister Sharad Pawar said that that there has been a rise in the purchase price of sugarcane, which is a good sign. The minister also said that the sugar industry has accepted a levy from the Indian government and added that sugarcane is still being sold at earlier prices.
