Rose exports zoom ahead of Valentine's Day

Defying recession trends and threats from Hindu radical groups ahead of the Valentine's Day, the rose business is witnessing boom in Tamil Nadu. With the Valentine's Day approaching, Hosur is bracing for exports to western countries to the tune of 5 million roses. The climate of Hosur is appropriate for the rose farming with nearly 42,400 acres of land being used for rose cultivation to meet the demands of the Valentine's Day.
