Rs 45 crore loss incurred in fire at IOC: Moily

Petrol and property worth 45 crore rupees was gutted in a massive fire at a fuel storage terminal of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd in Surat. One of the nine tanks – five of petrol and four of diesel – caught fire on January 05. Union Oil minister M Veerappa Moily, who took stock of the situation at IOC depot, said that nearly 5,000 kilolitres of oil was burnt.
