Sadananda Gowda elected as next Karnataka CM

Ending days of speculation and political drama, Lok Sabha member from Udupi-Chikmagalur constituency and former Karnataka chief BS Yeddyurappa's candidate, DV Sadananda Gowda was on Wednesday chosen the next state chief minister.The new leader was chosen via a secret ballot after several attempts to secure a consensus among the warring factions failed. According to sources, Sadananda Gowda got 63 votes in his favour and Jagadish Shettar got 55.
