SC grants bail to Rathore; closes suicide case

Handing out a huge relief to former Haryana Police Chief SPS Rathore, the molester cop convicted in the sensational Ruchika molestation case, the Supreme Court on Thursday not only granted bail to him but also closed the abetment to suicide case slapped against him. The apex court granted bail to Rathore on the condition that he submits his passport to the Central Bureau of Investigation. Besides this, the SC has also closed the abetment to suicide case slapped against Rathore, who was sentenced to 18-month imprisonment for molesting teenager Ruchika Girhotra in 1990.
