SC upholds life term for Graham Staines' killers

After 12 years of killing of Australian Missionary Graham Staines's and his two sons by a mob of Hindu fanatics, the Supreme Court on Friday upheld the life sentence of the main convict Dara Singh and his accomplice Mahendra Hembram. The apex court denied the appeal for death sentence for Dara Singh by CBI and maintained the judgement of life imprisonment given by the Orissa high court. Mitra added that the Supreme Court did not find the case as 'rarest of the rare' case since it was based on circumstantial evidence.Keywords:
