Security personnel safe, claims Chhatisgarh police

The ambush between Maoists and police personnel that started Wednesday morning in Gumiyapal forest of Dantewada, ended after six hours in the evening. Chhatisgarh police claimed all members of state's Special task force and Koya commando caught in the ambush were safe. Inspector General of Police (Bastar range) T J Longkumer said that the personnel are safe and slowly returning to their base camps taking all precautions. He further denied that any personnel were missing.
