Seers form an army to clean River Ganges

Seers in Varanasi offered prayers to holy river Ganges and vowed to cleanse it of all the pollutants. Locals, environmentalists and religious groups have formed an army to named 'Ganga Sena' to save the river from pollution. The army took part in the prayers that marked the completion of the first phase of action against pollution. The seers have vowed to offer prayers to 100, 000 Goddesses once all the three phases are successfully completed.
