Separatists detained to avoid poll related violence

Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Omar Abdullah on Saturday justified the detention of separatist leaders, who have called for a boycott of ensuing national polls in the region. Kashmir's main separatist alliance had appealed to the people of the region to boycott general election, prompting authorities to place two dozen separatist leaders under house arrest.
