SH Kapadia takes over as Chief Justice of India

Justice Sarosh Homi Kapadia today took over as the chief justice of India from Justice KG Balakrishnan. The oath of office was administered by the President of India,Pratibha Devisingh Patil,at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi. The 62-year-old Justice Kapadia will remain the Chief Justice of India till September 29, 2012. He is an expert in tax and finance laws.
