Singhvi clarifies on Lokpal report delay

Parliamentary Standing Committee chairman Abhishek Manu Singhvi on Tuesday clarified that there was no delay in the panel's report on the Lokpal bill, and it was just a procedural extension. He added that the committee was formed not to please any individual or organisation, but for national interest. According to reports, the Lokpal report is slated to be tabled in Parliament on December 9 after a formal adoption meeting on December 7.
