Sri Lanka issue: DMK threatens to pull out

Even as the sudden statement from DMK president M Karunanidhi threatening to walk out of the UPA government mounted pressure on the centre, the Congress claimed that the government is completely stable. DMK supremo M Karunanidhi, in a statement issued late Friday evening, categorically said that it would be 'meaningless' for the DMK to remain in the Union cabinet if the Centre does not fulfill its demand of bringing amendments to the US-backed resolution at UNHRC in Geneva.Keywords: DMK, M Karunanidhi, UPA, UNHRC, Government
