Srinivasan steps aside, Dalmiya to be interim BCCI chief for 1 month

Ending days of speculations, BCCI Chief N Srinivasan eventually gave in to the pressure tending in the wake of the IPL spot-fixing and betting scandal, and stepped aside as BCCI President till investigation into the scandal is over. Srinivasan has however not formally resigned from the post. The decision came in the BCCI working committee meet held in Chennai. Former BCCI Chief, Jagmohan Dalmiya has been named named interim President of BCCI for a period of I month, his name reportedly been proposed by BCCI Vice President, Arun Jaitley.
