Steel Minister urges industries to reduce carbon emission

Steel Minister Virbhadra Singh on Tuesday asked all public sector industries to reduce carbon emission and rely on new technology. He said this while addressing a seminar on 'Improving Energy Efficiency in Indian Secondary Steel Sector including Steel Re-rolling Mills' organised by FICCI in association with UNDP in New Delhi. He said that the Indian steel industry should develop its world-class technology in order to reduce emission of carbon and green house gases. The minister also stressed that the reduction of emission was extremely important.
