Supreme Court's decision biggest blow to PM: BJP

Updated on Mar 03, 2011 11:16 pm IST

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) termed the Supreme Court's decision to set aside the appointment of P. J. Thomas as central vigilance commissioner (CVC) 'historic', and called it the 'biggest blow' to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's government. BJP spokesperson Rajiv Pratap Rudy said Congress Party is a part of all the corruption and poor governance, which was proved by the Supreme Court ruling. The apex court today quashed the appointment of the CVC for involvement in a corruption case, six months after he was appointed to the post, in another rebuke for the Congress-led coalition government.
