Toy industry in Varanasi facing a rough phase

Toy industry of Varanasi is losing its sheen as it is forced to use low quality wood following the ban on 'Koraiyya' wood traditionally used for making toys. The cottage industry has suffered a set back due to the ban in the supply of Korraiya wood under the forest preservation act leading to the miseries of toy makers.
