US envoy praises Pakistan's anti-terror work

US Deputy Secretary of State John Negro Ponte, opening a two-day visit, praised Gen Pervez Musharraf's government on Wednesday for its anti-terrorism efforts and skirted the issue of his expulsion of a political rival. Negro Ponte's visit to Pakistan, his second in three months, is officially part of a US-Pakistan strategic dialogue focusing on various fields, including counter terrorism.
