Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today demanded an enquiry an into reports that retailer Wal-Mart had spent a massive USD 25 million lobbying to get entrance into India. Addressing a news conference, Kumar said that such companies indulge in lobbying to expand their business empire. Kumar criticized federal government for forcefully imposing the FDI proposal. Kumar also said that he would welcome FDI in infrastructure development but not in retail trade as it would only increase unemployment and the move was definitely not in the interest of traders and farmers.
