WB Govt fallout: ABG pulls out of Haldia

In a major blow to Mamata Banerjee led West Bengal Government, Haldia Port cargo handlers ABG-LDA, operating under the banner of Haldia Bulk Terminals have decided to pull out of the state. ABG-LDA has sent a letter terminating the contract to Kolkata Port Trust, saying that the state was not providing it with a secure environment to work in. The firm has cited a series of incidents, including an "abduction" of some of its employees.
