Weather Gods play spoil sport for litchi growers

Vagaries of weather shatter hopes of the Shahi litchi growers in Bihar as large quantity of crops have been destroyed following heavy rain. The district of Muzzafarpur is famous for the Shahi litchi, a fruit famous for its delicious taste and the annual production from this region is estimated to be worth 100 million of rupees. However, this year, the growers of Litchis were a disillusioned lot right from the outset since the fruits were not of the usual size.
