World Anti Tobacco Day observed across the country

World Anti Tobacco Day was observed across the country on Tuesday. Members of the Medical Bank organization in Kolkata carried out a procession against the consumption of tobacco products. School children wearing skull masks took part in the procession holding placards and banners warning against the dangers of tobacco consumption. In Siliguri,members of the Siliguri Sumita Cancer Relief Welfare and Educational Society also took out a huge procession. National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets collected tobacco products from the people and in return distributed chocolates among them. The highlight of this procession was that the two large models of cigarettes were burnt by the volunteers as a sign of protest against tobacco consumption.
