Iranian lawmaker Amirhossein Sabeti has called for the ruling families of Gulf states hosting U.S. military bases to be added to Iran’s “revenge targets,” alleging they played a role in the killing of former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei during the war. He specifically named Bahrain’s Al Khalifa, the UAE’s Al Nahyan and Saudi Arabia’s Al Saud families, and questioned why Iranian officials apologised to neighbouring states soon after the conflict began.
