Iran's radar-killing campaign blinds US defences: Shaheds cripple Gulf radars before missile blitz?

Iran says it has adopted a new strategy aimed at blinding U.S.-led air defence networks before launching large-scale missile and drone attacks across the Gulf. The IRGC claims it has struck multiple radar sites, while analysts say destroying sensors first can sharply reduce warning time for incoming threats. The strategy reportedly combines Shahed drone swarms with ballistic missiles to overwhelm defences and exhaust interceptor stocks. The renewed focus on radar systems comes after deadly strikes on Jordan's Muwaffaq Salti Air Base and growing concerns over the vulnerability of U.S. military infrastructure across the Middle East.
