The Middle East conflict has intensified as Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed it launched ballistic missiles at a US military base and CENTCOM facility in Jordan following US-Saudi strikes on Iran-aligned targets in Iraq. The IRGC also said its navy stopped three oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz after they allegedly ignored warnings. Meanwhile, US Central Command said joint American and Saudi airstrikes targeted logistics and weapons sites used by Iran-backed groups following a wave of drone attacks. With tensions escalating across Jordan, Iraq and the Gulf, fears are growing of a broader regional confrontation.
