Israel Recruits Indians To Fill Construction Jobs Gap; 65,000 Workers To Be Brought In | Gaza War

Israel will bring in nearly 65,000 foreign workers, including Indians, to fill construction jobs in the country amid the raging war in Gaza. The workers will come in from India, Sri Lanka and Uzbekistan. They will replace Palestinian workers, who were sacked following Hamas' attack on Israel on Oct 7. NBC news reported that Indian trade union have asked the government to terminate the labor agreement. They reportedly argued that it supports Israeli military actions in the Gaza Strip.
