External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on September 13 revealed that his father was on the flight which was hijacked in 1984. Jaishankar was reacting to the controversy around the new Netflix series IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack. The Kandahar hijacking refers to the Indian airlines plane hijacked by five terrorists in 1999.
