Karnataka CM orders bulldozer run after IT Giants found in encroachment list

- Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has given a stern instruction to the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) over the ongoing demolition drive. The CM asked the BBMP officials not to "succumb to any pressure over encroachments". The direction came after the names of several tech giants featured on the list. Wipro has denied receiving any BBMP notices and has stated that its Doddakannelli campus, which is on the list, is operating in accordance with the approved plan. Bagmane World Technology Centre in east Bengaluru has admitted to encroaching on a storm water drain, but blamed it on Puravankara, who are the builders of the adjacent uber-rich Purva Parkridge villas.
