Lavrov’s dig turns spotlight on Europe’s weakest flank after Russia foils UK plot to 'steal' MiG-31

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov dismissed Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia as “bit players” in Europe, saying they have inflated views of their own importance within the European Union. Speaking to Russian outlets, including TASS, Lavrov claimed that the Baltic states act as “fledgling Europeans” being used by larger Western powers.
