‘Betrayal of constitution’: Congress on EC’s campaign ban order in WB
Updated on May 16, 2019 11:22 am IST
Congress on Thursday opposed the Election Commission's order to ban poll campaigning in West Bengal claiming that the decision favors Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rally. “Two pre-announced election rallies of PM Modi are not hit by EC's order,” Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said in a press conference held in New Delhi. Congress termed EC's decision as a 'betrayal of constitution'.
