LS Elections: BJP, Congress in war of words over cash seizures in Phase 2

With cash seizures marring Phase 2 of the Lok Sabha elections, Congress' Jaiveer Shergill and BJP's Swadesh Singh face off over corrupt practices during polls. While the BJP accuses the Opposition of indulging in corruption, the Congress raises the 'failure' of demonetisation in purging black money in the system. After seizure of dubious cash worth over Rs 11 crore, allegedly from a DMK leader, the Lok Sabha election in Tamil Nadu's Vellore constituency was rescinded by the President of India upon the advice of the Election Commission.
