My First Vote: ‘Progress in defence field, ensuring women safety’ says first-time voter Avni

Nearly 18 million people between 18 and 23 are estimated to cast their ballot for the first time in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls. Hindustan Times' My First Vote campaign aims to reach out to young, first-time voters to understand what they want, and what issues matter most to them.

A first-time voter Avni feels that the government should continue the ongoing progess in the field of defence. Avni also feels that the issue of women safety should also be focused and rape cases that are pending in the country should be resolved soon. “I hope they will be working on the middle-class people also”, Avni adds.
