London’s mystery poisoning? Russian ambassador ridicules UK’s poisoning evidence, drops bombshell

Russia’s ambassador to the UK, Andrei Kelin, has rejected new British findings that link President Vladimir Putin and the GRU to the 2018 Novichok attack in Salisbury. In a fresh interview, Kelin dismissed the allegations as “an elaborate script,” comparing the narrative to an Ian Fleming or Agatha Christie novel. The comments come after the UK sanctioned Russia’s GRU and summoned the ambassador, following an inquiry concluding that Moscow was responsible for poisoning former double agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter. The 2018 attack left several victims critically ill and led to the death of Dawn Sturgess after she came into contact with discarded Novichok. Moscow continues to deny any involvement.
