Germany is on high alert after a deadly vehicle-ramming and knife attack near Berlin's Christopher Street Day (CSD) Pride parade left one woman dead and 29 people injured. Chancellor Friedrich Merz described the incident as an "Islamist terrorist attack" and vowed decisive action, while Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt said the suspect, identified as Abdul Ballout, remained on the run. Authorities said the suspect allegedly rammed a vehicle into crowds before attacking pedestrians with a bladed weapon. Security has been tightened ahead of upcoming public events across Germany.
