Mojtaba's instant revenge after Qeshm strike; rains missiles, drones on US bases in Kuwait & Bahrain

Published on Jun 03, 2026 09:29 am IST

Tensions in the Gulf have surged after Iran claimed to have launched missile and drone attacks targeting U.S. military facilities in Kuwait and Bahrain. Tehran described the strikes as retaliation for American military action against Qeshm Island, while the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps warned that any further aggression would trigger an even harsher response. According to Iranian statements, precision missile strikes were carried out against U.S. positions in the region. Meanwhile, U.S. Central Command said American and partner forces intercepted multiple missiles and drones, adding that no U.S. personnel were harmed during the attacks. CENTCOM also confirmed conducting self-defense strikes on an Iranian ground-control station on Qeshm Island. The latest escalation comes despite an existing ceasefire framework between Washington and Tehran, raising fresh concerns about the stability of the Gulf region. Air raid sirens reportedly sounded in Bahrain, while regional militaries remained on high alert amid fears of a wider confrontation. With both sides exchanging accusations and military actions, questions are growing over whether the fragile truce can survive. The Strait of Hormuz, a vital artery for global energy supplies, remains at the center of the standoff as tensions between the United States and Iran continue to shape security dynamics across West Asia.
