Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to continue targeting Hezbollah infrastructure in Lebanon, following what Israel described as a major operation against a Hezbollah stronghold on the Beaufort Ridge. Netanyahu said Israeli forces destroyed bunkers, weapons and a command facility that Israel says were linked to Hezbollah’s military plans. He also warned that Israel would continue removing threats from what it describes as a security zone in Lebanon. The remarks come amid continuing tensions along the Israel-Lebanon border and wider instability across the Middle East. Netanyahu warned that any renewed attack on Israel could trigger what he described as even heavier retaliation.
