Apple is planning to shift its production out of China amid recent protests at the Zhengzhou plant. Zhengzhou Plant, known as "iPhone City," was hit by huge protests against China's zero-covid policy. According to the Wall Street Journal, Apple is also looking to reduce its dependence on Taiwanese assemblers led by the Foxconn Technology Group. Apple has reportedly told suppliers to plan more for assembling the product elsewhere in Asia. India and Vietnam are seen as likely alternatives for the next production plant. #apple #china #india #production #plant #chinaprotest #zhengzhou #iphonecity #thewallstreetjournal #report #vietnam #foxconn Hindustan Times Videos bring you news, views and explainers about current issues in India and across the globe.
