Australia unveils ₹1,560 cr investments in India; Ink Critical Mineral pact

In a bid to reduce dependence on China, India-Australia signed a MoU on critical minerals. Both nations agreed to boost cooperation in critical minerals in an attempt to ensure stability in the Indo-Pacific. “A MoU was signed on cooperation in the critical mining sector which was signed by Khanij Bidesh India Ltd. (KABIL) and Australia's Critical Mineral Facilitation Office. This is an important area for both our countries and this agreement will give us the opportunities to both invest in Australia’s critical minerals sector and get Australian expertise in this area,” said Foreign Secy Harsh Vardhan Shringla.
