'Beef' Remark Row: Ranbir-Alia stopped from entering Ujjain's Mahakal temple

• Star couple & 'Brahmastra' actors forced to return from Mahakal temple. This after a ruckus broke out following Bajrang Dal protests outside the Mahakal temple in Madhya Pradesh's Ujjain. Thousands of Bajrang Dal activists were seen blocking the entrance as they were upset with Ranbir's 'I am a beef guy' remark made during an old interview. Protesters didn't even let Ranbir's wife & actor Alia Bhatt visit the temple. Infact, one of the protestors started fighting with police officers. Only director Ayan Mukerji could attend aarti at the Mahakaleshwar. Meanwhile, in a viral video, a Bajrang Dal activist claimed that they were protesting peacefully but police started cane-charging them. Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt were at the temple to offer prayers ahead of the release of their film 'Brahmastra' on September 9.
