BJP warns Javed Akhtar over Taliban-RSS comparison; Shiv Sena backs Sangh

• Maharashtra BJP leader Ram Kadam warned lyricist-screenwriter Javed Akhtar for his controversial remarks comparing the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) with the Taliban. Kadam demanded an apology as the BJP protested outside Akhtar’s house. Meanwhile, Shiv Sena in its mouthpiece Saamana deemed Akhtar’s remarks unacceptable.
