Cold Wave: Fog blankets Delhi-NCR, mercury dips to 5°C; IMD warns of biting chill in North India

An intense cold wave has gripped north India, including Delhi. Delhiites woke to a bone-chilling cold on Monday morning. Dense fog also engulfed the region, reducing visibility to 50 metres in some parts of the national capital. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a fog warning for several north Indian states for the next five days due to cold wave conditions.
