ED grills Aishwarya Rai Bachchan on Panama Papers Leak I What you need to know

Enforcement Directorate (ED) summoned and questioned actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in a case linked to the Panama Papers leaks. The ED has been investigating the case since 2016 when the leaks became public. The spotlight is on the Bachchan family’s foreign remittances. ED had earlier issued notices to the Bachchan family asking for an explanation on their foreign remittances since 2004 under the Reserve Bank of India's Liberalised Remittance Scheme (LRS).
