How Modi govt plans to revive telecom sector; Ashwini Vaishnaw announces package

The union government announced a relief package and a series of structural reforms for the cash-strapped telecom sector. Announcing the cabinet’s decision, Union Minister for IT & Communications Ashwini Vaishnaw said that the reforms will change the entire framework of the ailing telecom sector. The cabinet approved 100% FDI in telecom sector through automatic route from 49% earlier. A 4-year moratorium was also approved for cash-strapped telecom companies like Vodafone that are defaulting on payment. Watch the full video for more details.
