How PM Modi's special invite to G7 can help pressurise China over border games

India has been invited as a guest to the G7 summit being hosted by the United Kingdom this year. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be participating in outreach sessions on June 12 and 13 in virtual format due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The international summit comes amid continuing Chinese games at the border. After some progress in talks which led to the disengagement of troops from the Pangong Tso area in Ladakh, Beijing appears to be dragging its feet to prolong the tension.
