Huge blast at firecracker factory in Maharashtra's Dahanu, 10 workers injured

• A huge explosion took place at a firecracker manufacturing factory in Maharashtra. Around 10 workers suffered burn injuries & were rushed to Dahanu's Cottage Hospital. Incident occurred at Vishal Fireworks in Dehane village of Palghar district on Thursday. Dahanu police rushed to the spot, two fire tenders have also been pressed. More than 100 workers were present inside the unit when the blast took place. Dahanu MLA Vinod Nikole soon visited the blast site & reviewed the situation. Nikole said welding work was being undertaken which could have led to the fire. Nearly 25-year-old unit, Vishal Fireworks is the only factory located in Dahanu. Nikole said the blast was so powerful that the area within 5-10 kms was shaken.
