'India a leader': Russia lauds India once again; Cites New Delhi's 'power' to back UNSC bid again

Russia has once again backed India for permanent membership at the UNSC. According to Moscow, "India must be a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council because it is one of the leading countries, or maybe even the leader.'' The Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, said that "India is a country that not only aspires to be but is at the essence of the formation of a multipolar world as one of its most important poles." He added that New Delhi has vast diplomatic experience in settling various kinds of problems, as well as authority and a reputation in its region. Watch this report for more.
