India’s status downgraded to ‘partly free’ in democracy report, MEA responds

- The Ministry of External Affairs responded to the status of India getting downgraded to “partly free” in the democracy report. MEA Spokesperson Anurag Srivastava said that India has robust institutions and well-established democratic practices. “We do not need sermons, especially from those who cannot get their basics right,” Srivastava said.
