China's new foreign minister, Qin Gang, seeks to improve ties with India. In an op-ed piece for a U.S.-based magazine, Qin Gang said that "both India and China are willing to ease the situation and jointly protect peace along their borders." He further added that "China's development means a stronger force for peace, not a growing power poised to break the status quo." This is Qin Gang's first statement on the India-China border standoff after being appointed as the new Chinese Foreign Minister by Xi Jinping. Gang, who is known as the "Wolf Warrior" for his bold stand against western "propaganda," offers hints at bettering relations with India amid tensions with the U.S. Watch this report for more information.
