Mamata meets Gadkari, requests for e-vehicle manufacturing industry in Bengal

- West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee met Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari in Delhi. Mamata discussed infrastructure projects with him in a bid to invite global investors to the state. She said it would be good if Bengal gets an electric vehicle manufacturing industry. The TMC chief added that Bengal needs proper roads as it borders Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan. Mamata is in Delhi to initiate talks with the opposition and stitch together a united front against the ruling BJP. After meeting Gadkari, the Bengal CM met DMK leader Kanimozhi Karunanidhi. Taking to twitter, Kanimozhi shared pictures and said it was a 'pleasure' to meet Mamata. The TMC supremo earlier met leaders of opposition parties like Congress and AAP. As per reports, Mamata will also meet ministers of key departments like petroleum, aviation railways, etc.
