Nikhat Zareen wins gold at World Boxing Championship; PM Modi leads the praise

- Indian boxer Nikhat Zareen has won the gold medal at the Women's World Boxing Championship in Istanbul. The 25-year-old Nikhat beat her Thai opponent Jitpong Jutamas by 5-0 in the flyweight (52 kg) category. Nikhat has become the only fifth Indian women boxer who won a gold medal in world boxing. PM Modi congratulated Nikhat for 'scripting history'. Home Minister Amit Shah along with several other politicians, sports stars and Bollywood celebrities have wished Nikhat the best.
